“Mumbel” is the name of the village that houses our cellar which was originally merged with the parsonage of the Church. Documents attest that around 1500 the prelates welcomed the Catholic clergy visiting the Principality in our “Sala dei preti“, offering them a wine much appreciated by the curia: the “noble wine of Messerano”.

tasting notes

COLOR: ruby red with garnet reflections

NOSE: sour cherries in alcohol, floral hints of violet and macerated rose. Memories of pepper and licorice

PALATE: An elegant wine with a long savory trail that tempts the sip. Good structure, balanced but lively tannins

SERVING TEMPERATURE: 64° F.

PAIRING: Excellent with stuffed pasta, steak or stewed meats, aged cheeses
